Impact of Sea Rice Planting on Enzymatic Activity and Microbial Community of Coastal Soils: Focus on Proteinase

Soil proteinase and proteinase-producing microbial community are closely associated with soil fertility health. Sea rice has been planted in the coastal beach of Jiaozhou Bay, China, an effort to transform saline-alkali into arable land. However, knowledge regarding bacterial degradation organic nitrogen sea soils is limited. This study aims investigate physicochemical characteristics enzymatic activities soils, as well communities by both Illumina sequencing-based culture-independent technology culture-dependent methods. exhibited a lower salinity higher matter content activity, increase richness diversity community, compared adjacent non-rice soils. These findings provided new insights agricultural regions.
